Brief

The YCN invited me to participate in their 'World of YCN Forest Ranger' project. Each participant is sent a collection of green circles with which to decorate, mutilate, fashion or craft a tree of their design. the trees are collected together to form a forest of creatives. The work will then feature in the 08/09 YCN book.

Response

I wanted to produce two differing tree forms, something light, colourful, fun and delicate, or there abouts. My first tree is a collection of fruits using hand cut vinyl. the second is a hand cut tracery of birds and branches. The two disks will be cut by the trusty people of YCN and slotted together to form the foliage, and then placed on sticks (trunks) and released into the YCN wood.

I was also invited to feature in The YCN annual, given a whole page to myself, and my 'recognition' work. Thank you YCN!
