Brief
I pitched to design an identity for a new government education scheme by the name of 'Super Skills'. They wanted a symbol that would sit comfortable next to an 'investor in people' logo, formal and offical looking.
Response
I developed a series of monograms, combining, splicing, disecting and generally experimenting with the letter 'S'. These were combined with a variety of cirular fields, based upon stamps, seals and rosettes, as a means of conveying authority, education, and achievment. Here are the results. None of my designs were chosen for this particular brief, but one was selected to represent another project being launched within the department that just so happened to have the same monogram! More updates on this soon. The new department is called 'Skill Shots' and should be rolling out into a government educational faciltity near you soon! The winning pitch is the last concept, a folded ribbon spelling out SS.
