Brief

This is a self initiated brief set to experiment with aging images and recreating the appearance of damaged or well thumbed books. I’m also a really big Hemingway fan, and also of the retro redesign of existing works.

Response

I recreated a selection of my favorite Hemingway novels, reinterpreting the content with exaggerated or metaphorical covers. The aim was to produce images that were of the time while carrying the scars of years of use.
Since publishing this project I have been contacted by the excellent people at Random House Mondadori with regards to using one of my

covers for a limited print run in Spain. The edition is due out in June images will be posted when I receive my copy. If you happen to be out and about in Spain keep your eyes peeled for my 'Old man and the sea' cover.
